Pastor Letters of Recommendation

“The Women’s Ministry Department at Emmanuel Christian Center would highly recommend The Hiding, Hurting, Healing workshop…. it has been a helpful ministry for the recovery process of women who were or are presently in abusive situations.” -  Pastor Shirley Denyes, Women’s Ministries, Emmanuel Christian Center, Mpls, MN.

“Two summers ago we sponsored The Hiding, Hurting, Healing Program in our church.  Many women attended and received healing from the Lord through this program.  I have met with the author of the curriculum and found it to be, in my opinion, Biblically sound.” - Pastor Mike Flynn, Open Arms Church of God, Grasston MN.

Leader Testimony

"I had suffered sexual abuse as a preteen which caused all sots of emotional problems.  Besides the sexual abuse, I was married to a man who had been cheating on me.  I thought we had a good marriage of 23 years, so this affair was destroying me.  In church one Sunday, I read in the bulletin about the group Hiding Hurting Healing.  It was a group for abused women and I thought that's just what I needed.  I met women with similar heartaches and together we learned about who we are in Christ, about setting boundaries and how to forgive.  I went through the program twice and a training program to become a leader.  It is very rewarding to help women, to show them the love of Christ, to encourage them that there is life after abuse.  Hiding Hurting Healing is a touch of Jesus in human form.  It changed my life and got me on the right path to recovery.  I praise the Lord for this ministry."  - Anonymous (used with permission)

Attendee Testimony

“What a valuable study it was!  The women who have created this study have done a fabulous job of providing healing and comfort. I found that I could identify with the teaching and personal testimonies and I loved sharing in a small group setting with other women who understood my experiences and my desire to walk in victory.” - Anonymous (used with permission)

Attendee Testimony

A couple years ago, the Lord led me to Hiding, Hurting and Healing. I had been praying for direction in my life and the Lord told me that he wanted me to help hurting women. My own background  enabled me to be an understanding ear to those that needed to be heard. After years of healing from sexual, physical and emotional abuse, I had to work through my own unforgiveness, anger, guilt and shame before I could find the peace that Jesus had offered. I continue to heal everyday. Praise God! "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." - Anonymous (used with permission)
